Caring connection with your elderly loved one

The Attention They Deserve, the Companionship They Need

We provide the social connection necessary to keep your loved one healthy, vital and happy.

Jamie Levin, LCPC

I started out in corporate consulting and as an HR professional, which led to becoming a psychotherapist. As a therapist, I specialized in helping people of all ages manage life transitions, such as career changes, geographical moves, death of loved ones, and relationship break-ups. But my passion has always been in working with older adults, due in large part to my closeness with my grandmother. Our time together taught me the value of building meaningful relationships with those who have lived long, vibrant lives.

In addition to working with older adults professionally, for many years I volunteered for Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, an organization dedicated to combating isolation in the senior community. I currently serve on the boards for the Beaverton Committee on Aging as an advocate for the city’s aging population, and the Portland Elder Care Council, an alliance of volunteers dedicated to helping the Portland metro community navigate elder care planning issues. It’s my passion and mission to ensure that the older generation is not only not forgotten, but also able to feel valued, recognized, and respected.

In my spare time, I love reading, bicycling, watching documentaries, learning French, exploring new cities, and enjoying the outdoors.

Shelby Silver

As a professional multidisciplinary artist, and intergenerational educator I enjoy dynamic, open hearted, and mindful discussions with the people who have shaped our community. While I am an active listener, I am also skilled in cultivating a supportive environment for engaging conversations to take place. I grew up in a small community here in the Pacific Northwest on a llama ranch. My mom, sister, and I belonged to a local fiber guild where my sister and I were the youngest members at ages six and eight, and some of our oldest members were approaching ninety. I learned so much within those multigenerational relationships, and through the wonderful memories, I was inspired to create a career serving older adults. I believe in the profound influence we can have at any age, and when given the opportunity to share our thoughts and ideas with one another, our lives become happier and healthier.

I hold two degrees, one in the Applied Science of Gerontology with specialized training in whole person care, and another in General Studies with a focus in psychology. Additionally, I am a certified professional activity director, and in the process of completing certification as an end of life doula through The Conscious Dying Institute.

A few fun facts about me: I love the ocean and am a passionate cold water diver, my favorite season is Fall with all of the brightly colored leaves, and I live in a cottage here in rural Washington County with my partner and our two marmalade kitties.
